Equine Specialist

Joanne Ragg

Joanne has worked with horses all her life, beginning in the UK Thoroughbred racing industry. She and her husband established Serendipity Equine in 1999. She is EAGALA-trained, holds a degree in Equine Science and a diploma in Equine Business Management, and is an Equine-Assisted therapist.

Mental Health Specialist

Dawn Marron

Dawn is a trauma-informed counsellor with nearly thirty years of somatic practice. Her training includes dance and art therapy, sound and voice therapy, somatic experiencing, NLP, equine-assisted psychotherapy and IFS; she is also a certified eating disorder coach.

Five horses with different temperaments — useful for teams, because people are different too. They are not ridden in these sessions; they work on the ground.

Our horses aren't there to perform or be ridden. They are partners in the experience, helping create a safe and different environment in which people can explore, learn, reflect and grow.

No riding is involved, and no previous horse experience is needed.

Sometimes a horse can show us something about ourselves that words alone cannot.
